17-Year-Old Bystander Dies When Vehicles Crash On MLK Street
St. Petersburg Police are investigating a crash that killed a 17-year-old girl standing on the curb on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police are investigating a crash that killed a bystander who was waiting on the curb on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
At about 4:45 p.m., a Jeep Patriot driven by Lynnsey Terepka, 30, was southbound in the eastern lane of MLK Street North and a Ford Mustang driven by Kayla Enget, 28, was heading south in the center lane.
As Jeep and Mustang approached 3rd Avenue North, the Mustang turned left from the center lane and struck the Jeep.

Once the vehicles separated, the Ford Mustang drove onto the sidewalk on the southeast corner of the intersection where Liamar Matos-Gonzalez(DOB 05/27/2002) was standing. The Ford Mustang struck Matos-Gonzalez, pushing her into a tree where she died from her injuries.
