Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, The Outpost Cited By Health Inspectors
Soiled floor in barroom and raw turkey stored over ready-to-eat food are a few of the violations found at Pinellas County restaurants.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – Soiled floor in barroom, raw turkey stored over ready-to-eat food, and mold-like substance found in ice machine are some of the violations that Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found recently at Pinellas County restaurants.
Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, 2655 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, was cited for 15 violations on April 19, including oven with heavy accumulation of black substance/grease/food debris; standing water in floor drain/floor drain draining very slowly; and food held at unsafe temperatures, including raw burger and raw philly steak (corrective action taken - ice placed on top of products).
The Outpost On Gandy, 10056 Gandy Blvd. NE, St. Petersburg, was cited for 13 violations on April 18, including handwash sink removed from food preparation/dishwashing area (must be reinstalled in same location where removed); floor soiled/accumulation of debris in upstairs bar; and toxic substance/chemical (air freshener) stored by or with single-service items (corrected on-site).

Banquet Masters Restaurant, 13355 49th Street North, Clearwater, was cited for 10 violations on April 17, including damaged/spoiled/recalled food (dented pineapple juice can) not properly segregated; accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in ice machine; and raw animal food stored over ready-to-eat food (raw turkey stored over corn bread mix in walk-in cooler - corrected on site).
In the last 30 days, 130 Pinellas County restaurants did not pass the first inspection while 119 restaurants aced the first visit. For more details on Pinellas restaurant inspections, click here.

The inspectors made note of 17 Pinellas restaurants that passed inspections without any violations in the past month: Extreme Quizine, 7010 E Adamo Dr Building C, Unit 5, Tampa; Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice-Cream, 2216 66 Street N, St. Petersburg; Poke Island Plus, 4058 Tampa Road Ste 4, Oldsmar; Ribticklers Barbecue, 107 Dunbar Ave Ste G, Oldsmar; Pacific Counter Portable, 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg; Cubanos Cart 3B, 1 Tropicana Dr, St. Petersburg; EMS Vending New, 1 Tropicana Dr, St. Petersburg; Hot Pursuit Catering And BBQ, 6043 9 Ave N, St. Petersburg; Carvery Cart 3B, 1 Tropicana Dr, St. Petersburg; Zipporahs Variety Kitchen, 1317 22 St S, St. Petersburg; Jack Of Spades Lounge, 6778 46th Ave. North, St. Petersburg; Veneziano, 12945 Village Blvd, Madeira Beach; NTT Fitness/Nourish Thy Temple LLC, 6657 49 St N, Pinellas Park; Pizza Hut #4624, 13789 Walsingham Blvd, Largo; Your Pro Kitchen, 6657 49 St N, Pinellas Park; The Bearded Barbecue LLC, 6657 49 St N, Pinellas Park; and Taco Bus, 9641 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island.
Note: Most of the restaurants with violations corrected the violations and have passed subsequent inspections.
