The Dewey Beach Bar and Grill Pass a Grille Beach
Pass a Grille is a magical place and The Dewey is a perfect fit

Last weekend was finally a break from the 90-degree weather and we were super excited to head over from Tampa to Pass a Grille Beach to the new Berkeley Beach Club to dine at The Dewey Beach Bar & Grill.
Aiming for a 6:00 sunset view from the rooftop bar and restaurant Dewey's we arrived to the quaint beach side town early, around 4:00. Pass a Grille is our favorite local beach. We opt for a drink at the Brass Monkey to get acclimated to the beach where everyone is in bathing suits and flips flops. Admittedly we were over dressed for a early Saturday night dinner but with this view who cares.

Our first stop at the Berkely is the street level seating for the The Dewey Beach Bar & Grill where we relax and view the menu in the soft and welcoming interior.

I know that my husband wants the patty melt. I always look at a new places menu in advance to ensure it has something my "meat and potatoes" guy will hopefully love. Extra bonus points for having a light beer and not just a craft beer selection. I also really appreciated that the menu features a choice of house wines. White, rose or chilled Red choices at $8. Being charged $15.00 for a glass of lackluster house wine will result in a vow not to return to the offending restaurant. Offering an affordable wine options and domestic beer choice is the way to many diners hearts.
We are excited to get upstairs and check out the views and food. The first view I will share is of Boca Ciega Bay. The rooftop is on the 4th floor offering an amazing vista to see the beauty of this island tip.

On to that patty melt and draft beer. Short rib burger, caramelized onions, Russian dressing, Swiss on grilled marble rye was classic and perfectly executed with addictive petal type fries.

As the surf half of our duo I really enjoy the harrissa butter roasted oysters.

Beach environments bring out the cocktail orders in all of us.

Now that sunset view I mentioned earlier.

We were very impressed. The team has crafted a restaurant and inn that blend beautifully with this fragile laid-back charming town. The food and drink prices were very affordable and the food straight forward delicious. I will be back for a long weekend and hope to be lucky enough to stay on property at the Berkeley Beach Club and dine here again.
