Downtown Starbucks to Undergo Facelift

St. Pete's downtown Starbucks location will be making some changes, inside and out. The hours will be altered, so read on to find out when they will and won't be open for business.

Beginning today, June 10, the Starbucks located at 199 1st Ave. N. in downtown St. Petersburg will be having a minor makeover. For years, the coffee store has been a popular spot for businesses and tourists that frequent the area.

Changes to the downtown location will not be major and the layout won't be effected. However, there will be new furniture, lighting and paint that will improve the overall appearance of the store.

During the renovation, Starbucks will remain open, but with some small changes in operating hours.

This Sunday will mark the first official day of the makeover when the store will close at 6 p.m. instead of 11 p.m. Monday's changes will shut down the location for the entire day.

After that, the store will reopen a downsized version of itself until the facelift is complete. There will be no seating areas and the venue will serve as an in and out coffee shop. Opening hours will be normal, but closing time will be 8 p.m. every night.
