ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A one-stop shop for mixed media art, toys, candles, aesthetician services and oddities has recently opened in St. Petersburg.

Reneata Griffin, owner of Neat, Neat, Neat, opened a similar shop in Colorado in 2007 that is still in business. She wanted to have everything in one place for her customers, kind of like a general store.

"I like finding fun things for people to have," Griffin told Patch. "I just wanted to have an interesting place to work."

A factor that directs Griffin's business choices of who she represents at her store is how she sees entrepreneurs responding to the coronavirus pandemic.

"I want to support those that are being very responsible in how they do their business during COVID," said Griffin.

She is appreciative of how a skin care line based out of Houston that she carries at her store handles business and customers during this time.

"Source Vital is a great treatment line of essential skin care and oils that I carry, and they immediately emailed their wholesale clients when the pandemic hit that they were not allowing anyone to come inside their location, but were offering curbside service and offering free shipping to everybody."

Griffin is a licensed aesthetician who provides skin care services such as facial, waxing for the entire body and brow tinting in a room that is sectioned off from the shopping part of the store. Some types of facials Neat, Neat, Neat offers is the studio peel and lux facial. It also offers LED light treatment.

A plastic mask that resembles a shield in addition to a cloth mask is worn over Griffin's face when she provides aesthetician services.

"I am constantly hand sanitizing while doing a skin care service, and I ask the client to wash their hands before we get started," said Griffin.

The retail part of her space is closed when she performs skincare practices on appointed days to add extra peace and privacy.

"I also want to support people who make a good product," said Griffin. "I believe in supporting local but I also believe that their product has to be of good quality."

Artwork in her store is from local artists such as Chad Mize, who is known for his "Paris, London, Tokyo, St. Pete" T-shirts and glassware; Hardison L. Collins III has his rock'n'roll style of mixed media on display; Todd Bates has his artwork that includes vintage St. Pete signs and photographer Xina Scuderi has her fine art project, "Doors of St. Pete".

Neat, Neat, Neat's hours of operation are Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Wednesdays are reserved for skin care appointments. It is closed on Sundays.

Griffin does enforce the no-mask, no-service philosophy.
