Goodbye, St. Petersburg

Oct. 15 is my last day as editor of St. Pete Patch.

For more than two years in St. Petersburg I have reported on what’s going on in the ‘Burg.

I’ve covered the never-ending saga of the pier until I was blue in the face. I've reported on local businesses making it through a tough economy. I’ve covered presidential candidates and even the President himself.

Today, Oct. 15, I’m sad to add one last report: This is my last day with Patch.

As part of a Patch/AOL re-organization my position has been eliminated. While I will be gone the site will not go dormant. You will still be able to post your blogs, events and announcements.

I cannot thank St. Petersburg enough for being part of the site and welcoming me to the Sunshine City with open arms. I will truly cherish my time covering all things St. Petersburg.

For now, I do not know where my next adventure will take me but I can only hope it can mirror my time with St. Pete Patch.

After 6 p.m., Oct. 15, if you wish to contact me you can email me on my personal account at dubmansell@gmail.com.

Until next time,

William “Dub” Mansell
