Husband Shoots Wife In Murder-Suicide: Authorities

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A husband and wife were found shot dead in their St. Petersburg home early Monday morning, St. Pete police said.

As authorities were conducting a welfare check at 8:40 a.m. inside the couple's home, 5030 40th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, they found the man and woman dead from gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation points to a murder-suicide, officers said. Ronald Arthur White, 58, shot his wife Bobette Marcella White, and afterward he shot himself, detectives said.
