Kids and Kubs Slowpitch Softball is an age-appropriate healthy activity for senior citizens above 74. Current membership ranges from 74-92 years of age. The Club has a 91-year history that includes players over the century mark who have actively participated. One, George Bakewell, logged playing time at age 107.
“Good ol’ men and women are scarce,” noted Club President Ed Broomes. The Club offers Senior citizens the opportunity to enjoy an age-appropriate activity declared over 50 years ago in research by doctors at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital to lay a foundation for long and healthy life.
