Labor Day 2020: What's Open, Closed In St. Petersburg

As the unofficial end of summer approaches, here are the service changes to know for the Labor Day holiday.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Even though we have those "endless summers" here in Florida, Labor Day weekend is when we bid our farewells to the summer with a three-day weekend. There are closings to be aware of for the holiday.

Below are the schedule changes to know for the Labor Day holiday in St. Petersburg:

City of St. Petersburg offices: City offices are closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

Pinellas County Public Schools, (virtual included): Sept. 7 is an observed holiday.

Tyrone Square Mall: Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Labor Day.

AMC Sundial 12: Check its website for movie times on Labor Day.

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve: Boyd Hill is closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

Sunken Gardens Attraction: The attraction is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

St. Petersburg Libraries: Libraries haven't opened to the public yet because of the pandemic, however they have been offering curbside services. Library services will be closed on Labor Day.

City pools: Pools are closed in observance of Labor Day.

County parks: County parks are open on Sept. 7.

Golf courses: Golf courses are open on Monday, Sept. 7.

Trash and Recycling: Monday's collections will be made on Tuesday. Tuesday's collections will be made on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain the same.
