Last Chance For Small Businesses To Apply For City Grant
The city of St. Petersburg created a grant to help eligible businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, and the deadline to apply is soon.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Friday is the last day for small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic to apply for the Fighting Chance Fund, the city said in a news release.
The grant was created by the city of St. Petersburg to help offset the temporary loss of revenue during the pandemic.
The program remains open until funds are exhausted or until Friday, said the city.

The city initially allocated $6.8 million to this initiative and has granted $4 million to date.
According to the city, the percentage of remaining funds have been set aside for the application categories as follows:

- 60% of total remaining funds to Home Based Businesses
- 30% of total remaining funds to Brick and Mortars
- 10% of total remaining funds to Franchises
