Body Found In St. Pete Hotel Identified, $5,000 Reward Offered
St. Pete Police have begun a homicide investigation after a man was found shot inside a motel room near a busy street Friday evening.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The victim who was killed Friday night inside a room at the Landmark Hotel in St. Petersburg has been identified as Benjamin Goff, St. Pete police said.
His body was found inside a second-floor room shortly after 5 p.m.
Anyone with information regarding this case, who wishes to remain anonymous, is eligible for a reward of up to $5,000, can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS or www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org.

Authorities said the man was shot at about 5 p.m. A gun was found at the shooting location, 1930 Fourth Street North, St. Petersburg.
Officers will be investigating for several hours throughout the night. During the homicide investigation, 20th Avenue North is closed from Fourth Street North to Fifth Street North. Fourth Street North is completely open.
Detectives said they will release the man's name after his next of kin has been notified.
