My Favorite Muffin Seeks Franchise Partners in Tampa Bay

TAMPA BAY, FL — My Favorite Muffin’s father-son founders, Michael and Brian Evans, are planning to bring up to three locations to the greater Tampa Bay area within the next two years.

This will mark the brand's entrance into the state, bringing up to 12 jobs per location.

For more than three decades, My Favorite Muffin has been offering hand-crafted muffins and freshly baked products to communities at its café shops throughout the U.S. With 20 locations currently operating and a growing café and bakery concept, My Favorite Muffin Gourmet Muffin Bakery™ is now planning to enter the Tampa Bay market.

Based on the success Evans' had growing the brand in Louisville, Kentucky, the father and son believes the brand will appeal to the area's mix of tourism and community.

“I was one of the first TCBY franchisees, and through that I've always led My Favorite Muffin with an old-school franchisee-first philosophy," said CEO Michael Evans. "Brian has brought the technology and modern approach for our brand's future. I also sign off on all new flavors and Brian has driven the modernization and tech integration. That spirit of innovation is leading us to try new savory breakfast items, creating a monthly muffin and coffee pairing promotion that rolled out in 2019, introducing the cold brew, and further investment in R&D for creative new muffin varieties."

With 30 flavors currently being offered on My Favorite Muffin’s daily menu, the gourmet products intentionally have a cake-like crumb structure, as a result of the concept’s chef-driven, low-cholesterol ingredients.

With this, families can enjoy classic, simple muffin favorites such as blueberry and chocolate chip as well as a variety of unique muffin flavors that the brand has created over the years, including Boston Cream Pie or Cinnamon Swirl Cheesecake. Freshly baked in the shop every day, all muffins are offered in large or mini sizes.

The company's full-serve cafe concept includes muffins made from scratch, bagels and sandwiches.

“Within the next two years, we plan to bring three franchise locations to the area. We are currently looking to find qualified franchise partners with us in areas such as St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Clearwater, Temple Terrace and Lakeland” said Evans.
