Pipeline Work At Pinellas Trail Bridge To Begin Monday

The repair is located near the center of the bridge and the work is expected to take one week.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Pinellas County Utilities will begin repair work Monday, Sept. 17 on the 36-inch reclaimed water pipeline that crosses Boca Ciega Bay alongside the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail. The repair is located near the center of the bridge and the work is expected to take one week.

Reclaimed water customers may experience low pressure and supply during the high-demand hours of midnight to 7 a.m.

The trail bridge, which runs along the north side of Bay Pines Boulevard, has been closed to residents since Sept. 10 and will remain closed until the repairs are completed. Trail users can obtain a map at the closure locations to help them find an alternate route, but there is no formal detour.
