Residents Could See Utility Rate Changes In St. Petersburg

The city of St. Petersburg is considering adjustments for billing rates that include water, wastewater, reclaimed water and others.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Utility billing rates could possibly change October 1 if approved by the St. Petersburg City Council.

Adjustments to water, wastewater, reclaimed water, stormwater and sanitation utility rates and charges for notification of past due accounts will be considered by the city.

The city council will have a first reading August 19 to formally set the date of the public hearing. The presentation on the rates will be given at the hearing.

City Council will consider the proposed and final utility rates for final adoption at the public hearing on September 9. The approved rate adjustments will be available on stpete.org/rates.

If billing rate changes are approved, changes will take effect on October 1, and will be noted in your utility bill.
