Road Closure On Bayside Bridge For Overnight Roadwork
Drivers can expect congestion on a section of Bayside Bridge due to overnight roadwork scheduled for two nights.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The Bayside Bridge southbound exit ramp to Roosevelt Boulevard will close between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
Road crews will perform overhead bridge work associated with the Gateway Expressway project. Drivers will be detoured around the work zone by driving south on 49th Street North, east on 140th Avenue North, north on 46th Street North to Roosevelt Boulevard.
Crews will also close 49th Street North at Lightwave Drive from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both nights. Drivers will be detoured around this work zone by taking 162nd Avenue North, Bolesta Road, Whitney Road, 58th Street North to Roosevelt Boulevard. Electronic message boards and detour signs will be used to assist drivers traveling through these areas.
