Roommate Of St. Pete Man Killed Faces Manslaughter Charge: Police

St. Pete police found the body of a man who had gotten into a fight with his roommate Tuesday inside the apartment they both shared.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 55-year-old St. Petersburg man was arrested Tuesday on charges of manslaughter after his roommate was found dead, St. Pete police said.

The suspect Damien Knight lived with the victim, 58-year-old John Trembly, in an apartment, 3460 24th Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Detectives said the body was inside a bedroom in the home Tuesday evening. The victim died of head trauma caused from a fight he and the suspect were engaged in, according to investigators.
