Shooter Opens Fire On Group, Kills 1, Injures 1: St. Pete Police
A fatal shooting is under investigation that occurred near 13th Avenue South and 13th Street South in St. Petersburg Sunday night.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night in St. Petersburg, and a 25-year-old woman survived the shooting.
A group of about five people, two of them being the victims, were talking outside near the street in the 1300 block of 13th Avenue South. Just after 11:30 p.m., a person fired a gun at the group from behind a house across the street from where they were hanging out, St. Pete police said. No one is in custody.
Detectives identified the victim as Demario Q. Thomas. The female victim was last listed as in stable condition, according to authorities. Her name will not be released in accordance with Marsy's Law.
