St. Pete To Pick Up Christmas Trees For Recycling Jan. 11
The City of St. Petersburg Sanitation Department will collect undecorated Christmas trees during the one-time citywide collection event.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The City of St. Petersburg Sanitation Department will collect undecorated Christmas trees during the one-time citywide collection event on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020. Collected trees will be turned into mulch, which is free to residents at the brush sites.
How to participate:
1. Remove all lights, ornaments, tree stands, plastic tree disposal bags and
other decorations from the tree.
2. Place the tree for collection in the same location where trash is usually
collected - if trash is picked up at the curb, trees should be placed at the
curb; if trash is picked up in the alley, trees should be placed in the
alley. Do not place the tree inside trash or recycling containers or lean the
tree against electrical poles, trash containers, water meters, etc.
3. Set out the tree before 7 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11. If your tree is
not set out during the one-time free collection event on Jan. 11, you may
drop your undecorated tree off at one of the city's brush sites or arrange a
special collection by calling the Sanitation Department at 727-893-7398 during
normal business hours.
