St. Pete Publix Pharmacies Offers COVID-19 Vaccine

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg residents will soon have expanded COVID-19 vaccine options within the city as Publix starts providing shots from its pharmacies.

The grocery store chain announced Florida residents who are 65 years of age and older can make appointments starting Wed., Feb. 3, after 6 a.m., at St. Pete Publix locations. Vaccination appointments are scheduled online only. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.

The following Florida residents are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, by appointment only:

  • Healthcare personnel with direct patient contact
  • Residents and staff of longterm healthcare facilities, and
  • Adults 65 years of age and older.

A proof of Florida residency is also required by the state.
