ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Superfood bowls and other nutritious goodness is available at St. Petersburg's new Grain & Berry.
The venue, 2446 Fourth Street N, opened Thursday and had its ribbon cutting Monday.
The St. Pete location is the company's 13th location. Grain & Berry was founded in 2017 by Brendon Rennart, Douglas and Kirsten Lang and Trey Kessler. The first location was in Palm Harbor.

"The reason why we decided to start the restaurant was that one of my business partner's daughters had some health issues, and they found that açai was something she was able to consume," Rennart said. "They (business partners) did a lot of research on it, and they found out that it had a lot of healthy benefits, so they decided to open up a restaurant."
After hearing the Langs' restaurant idea, Rennart suggested getting funding with a goal of opening 10 restaurants. Three days after their discussion, they found a vacant spot that was a former Starbucks off of U.S. Highway 19 N, and went to work opening six weeks later.
