ST. PETERSBURG, FL — In anticipation of Tropical Storm Elsa's arrival in Tampa Bay, the Rays have rescheduled Tuesday night's game one against the Cleveland Indians, a news release said.

A single-admission doubleheader will take place Wednesday, July 7, 12:10 p.m. Gates will open at 10:20 a.m. Game 2 will begin approximately 30 minutes following game one. Single-game tickets dated Wednesday, July 7, will be valid for both games of the doubleheader. No exchange is necessary.

Instead of the games having nine innings, per Major League Baseball, both games of the double header will be seven innings in length.

If you purchased a ticket for Tuesday's game through Raysbaseball.com, the MLB Ballpark app, or over the phone, you will automatically receive a credit to your Rays ticket account in the amount of the face value, Rays' staff said. This credit may be used toward any 2021 regular season home game at Tropicana Field, including Wednesday's doubleheader. If you'd rather attend another game, fans can choose a new game on the team's website. If tickets were forwarded to you, the credit has been applied to the original purchaser.

A change has also been made to the Rays promotional schedule as a result of the postponement. The Austin Meadows Bobblehead, presented by Bally Sports Sun, has been rescheduled for July 20 against the Baltimore Orioles.
