Tampa General Transplant Team defeats Kids&Kubs in annual game.

The site of the event, North Shore Park, provided the opportunity for spectators to learn about and sign up to donate organs.

Speed, youth and the long ball proved the undoing of the Kids and Kubs team assembled to play the Tampa General Hospital Transplant Team in their yearly meeting. The game was a tightly contested event with the lead changing hands several times throughout the contest. The home team Kids and Kubs held a 14-13 edge at the close of the 7th inning.

While the visitors from Tampa General managed 9 hits and 8 runs, including a home run and a triple in the final two innings, the Kids and Kubs offense went silent, getting only two hits and a single run in the last 2 innings.

The site of the event, North Shore Park, provided the opportunity for spectators to learn about and sign up to donate organs. This game marked the 6th year in which the event has been held.
