Thai Bay, E&E Stakeout Grill, Cheddars Cited By Health Inspectors
Oysters held at unsafe temperatures and moldy cooler gaskets are a few of the violations found at Pinellas County restaurants.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – Oysters held at unsafe temperatures, fly found in storage room and cooler gaskets with slimy/mold-like buildup are some of the violations that Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found recently in Pinellas County restaurants.
Corner Bar & Grill, 2116 E Bay Dr, Largo, was cited for nine violations on April 4, including grease accumulated on kitchen floor and/or under cooking equipment near fryer; raw beef stored over baked beans; and chili not dated and improperly stored.
Cheddars, 4101 Park Blvd N, Pinellas Park, was cited for 13 violations on April 4, including employee touching ready-to-eat food with their bare hands; food held at unsafe temperatures, including clams/mussels/oysters, chicken and shredded cheese; rusted shelves in freezer for plates; and plastic salad bin in disrepair.

Falafel N Cafe, 24139 Us 19 N, Clearwater, was cited for eight violations on April 4, including containers of oil stored on floor; cooler gaskets with slimy/mold-like buildup; knives stored in between wall and counter; and cooked tahini and beans held at unsafe low temperatures.
Thai Bay Restaurant, 1300 E Bay Dr Unit P, Largo, was cited for seven violations on April 3, including fryer baskets with frayed wires; one fly found in dry storage room; and raw frozen chicken stored over seafood in reach-in freezer.

E&E Stakeout Grill, 100 Indian Rocks Rd, Belleair Bluffs, was cited for 26 violations on April 3, including a box of oil stored on the floor; food thawed in standing water; raw oysters stored over salad dressings and ice; and soiled gaskets in walk-in cooler.
The inspectors made note of nine Pinellas restaurants that passed inspections without any violations: Your Pro Kitchen, 6657 49 St N, Pinellas Park; The Bearded Barbecue LLC, 6657 49 St N, Pinellas Park; Taco Bus, 9641 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island; Olive The World Bistro, 24 Hibiscus St, Tarpon Springs; Sekushi Sushi Dumpling And Noodle Bar, 524 Mandalay Ave, Clearwater; Surburban Lodge Largo, 6500 Ulmerton Road, Largo; Da Pollani's, 13688 Walsingham Rd, Largo; Nah Dogs Vegan Hot Dogs, 2930 Beach Blvd. S, Gulfport; Maher Chevrolet 71105, 2901 34 St, St. Petersburg.
In the last 21 days, 139 Pinellas County restaurants did not pass the first inspection while 119 restaurants aced the first visit. For more details on Pinellas restaurant inspections, click here.
Note: Most of the restaurants with violations corrected the violations and have passed subsequent inspections.
