Do You Know Where Your Polling Place is Located?: Tuesday St. Petersburg voters will decide the top two candidates in the race for Mayor and three city council districts. To find out where your precinct voting location is, you can visit the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections website

Toni Braxton in St. Pete:

‘Badass’ Teachers Are Worried About Education
: As week two of the new school year gets under way, teachers across the state and nation are coming together to voice concerns about the  tougher Common Core standards being adopted by states across the country. Calling themselves the Badass Teachers Association, the group wants schools to slow down on adoption of the new rules and fears too much testing will diminish creativity. ‘The Book of Mormon’ Comes to Tampa: 
Want to see what all the hype is about? The hit musical “The Book of Mormon,” brought to America by the creators of South Park, is coming to town in November. Tickets, however, just went on sale for the Straz Performing Arts Center run.

Drier Weather on the Way – Sort Of: 
Ready to dry out after all the recent storms? You might  be in luck, but don’t count on avoiding rain all together. Forecasters anticipate rain chances of about 30 percent in the afternoon and evening hours today, Aug. 27. On the upside, the torrential, widespread showers we’ve experienced recently are not on tap as drier air moves into the region.
