TS Elsa Causes Flight Cancellations At St. Pete-Clearwater (PIE)

If you have family flying into PIE, check flight schedules for cancellations. Some Allegiant flights have been canceled Tuesday for Elsa.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Multiple flights have been cancelled Tuesday evening and night at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) for Tropical Storm Elsa safety precautions, according to the airport's website.

As of 3:40 p.m., Tuesday, Allegiant arrival flights 847, 924 and 828 from Stewart/Newburg, New York; Lexington, Kentucky; and Columbus have been canceled. Canceled Allegiant departing flights include 859 (Columbus) and 846 (Lexington, Kentucky).

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is closing its location at 5 p.m. Tuesday, and plans to resume flight operations at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7. The Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) will close at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, and reopen by 6 a.m. Wednesday following damage assessments.
