Two-Hour Wait Closes Coronavirus Testing Site Early At The Trop

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The line at the Tropicana Field coronavirus testing site outdid the voting line at the St. Petersburg Coliseum Tuesday afternoon due to it causing a two-hour wait at the Trop that forced officials to close the testing site early.

Staff wants to ensure that that everyone waiting can get tested, Pinellas County Communications said.

Its usual hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The testing site will reopen in parking lot 2 at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, officials said.
