THIS WEEK: Accepting walk-ins for Pinellas VPK rapid registration

Free preschool available to ALL Florida four-year-olds, regardless of income -- registration for the 2019-2020 school year is happening now

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. -- The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas is offering same-day registration for Florida's FREE VPK ("Voluntary Prekindergarten") program. This free preschool program is available to all Florida residents with a child who turns 4 on or before September 1, 2019.

To complete same-day registration, families need to bring:

Proof of child's age

  • Birth certificate OR child's passport

Proof of Florida Residency (address/name must match application)

  • Valid FL driver's license or ID card OR
  • Current utility bill OR
  • Current signed lease

Rapid registration is available to families at either of the Coalition offices, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday, July 29, through Thursday, August 1:

“Rapid Registration” means families will walk out with their VPK certificate the same day.
