What's Open On New Year's Day In Pinellas County
Pinellas County government administrative offices and many facilities will close on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year's Day.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County government administrative offices and many facilities will close on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year's Day.
Building and Development Review Services, the offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services, Human Services, Veterans Services and the Solid Waste Administration Building, Household Electronics and Chemical Collection Center (HEC3) and the Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be closed on Wednesday, Jan 1.
County parks and preserves will be open on Wednesday, Jan. 1. However, the administrative offices of the Parks and Conservation Resources department will be closed on New Year’s Day. County boat ramps and beach access areas will be open Wednesday, however annual beach and boat ramp parking permits will not be available for sale due to the closure of the administrative offices.

The Environmental Education Centers at Brooker Creek Preserve and Weedon Island Preserve will be closed on Wednesday, Jan 1. They will open for normal hours of operation starting Thursday, Jan. 2. Heritage Village will be closed on Wednesday and reopen to the public on Thursday, Jan. 2.
The Florida Botanical Gardens will remain open on Wednesday for Holiday Lights in the Gardens.

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session on Wednesday, Jan. 1, except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.
All Pinellas County facilities will resume normal hours of operation on Thursday, Jan. 2.
