Missing Woman With Autism Found: Police

The St. Petersburg community and police helped look for a woman who went missing Monday afternoon from her house.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Katie Sawyer, 31, has been found safe, and reunited with her family, St. Pete police said.

A 31-year-old woman who lives with autism and is nonverbal is missing from her St. Petersburg home.

Katie Sawyer was last seen Monday, June 28, at 3 p.m. in the area of 51st Street and Sixth Avenue South, St. Pete police said. Sawyer is 5-feet-six, 130 lbs., and is likely wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.
