Woman Dies in Apparent Drowning at Lake Ruby in St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg Police were called to 26th Avenue and 35th Street North shortly after 9:30 a.m. Aug. 24, where they discovered a woman unresponsive in Lake Ruby.

A 57-year-old woman is dead after an apparent drowning at Lake Ruby in St. Petersburg early Saturday.
St. Petersburg Police were called to 26th Avenue and 35th Street North shortly after 9:30 a.m. Aug. 24, where they discovered a woman unresponsive in Lake Ruby.
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue recovered the victim from the lake. Her body showed no obvious signs of trauma, according to a St. Petersburg Police news release.
The woman's identity is not yet known.Â
