@ The Docks Opens On Dodecanese

 A new store has opened up shop at 801 Dodecanese Blvd., and it specializes in women’s wear, apparel, jewelry and children’s clothes.  

@ The Docks Fashions and Jewelry opened up Aug. 2, and one of its owners is hoping it will draw in both tourists and Tarpon Springs residents.

Locals Christopher Leventis and older brother Ted own the shop, Christopher Leventis said.

The Leventis family also owns the Greek Island Imports shop across Dodecanese Blvd.  That shop has been open since 1989 and was founded by Christopher’s father, Petros Leventis.

Right now, the shop is staffed by the Leventis brothers and their families, but Leventis hopes it will become a place where he can hire employees.

Leventis said Tarpon is worth investing in as one of the tourist-heavy destinations in Florida. His family also has roots here.

Asked about his dreams for the store, Leventis said he wants for it to be profitable and to also be a place that draws both tourists and residents of the area. He views it as an extension of the Greek Island Imports store.
