The city of Tarpon Springs is gearing up for an all-day celebration on July 4.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Folks looking for an old fashion way to celebrate America’s independence may want to set a course for Tarpon Springs on July 4. The city has announced plans to host its 10th annual community picnic followed by fireworks after sunset.

The July 4 picnic gets under way at 10 a.m. July 4 at Craig Park, just off Tarpon Avenue at Springs Boulevard. The fun lasts until 2 p.m.

Attendees are asked to “bring lawn chairs and towels” to join their neighbors for a “traditional old-time patriotic picnic.”
