Arrest Made In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Of Bicyclist
Tarpon Springs police detectives have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run accident Nov. 27 that killed a bicyclist.
TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs police detectives have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run accident Nov. 27 that killed a bicyclist on Pinellas Avenue.
Around 5 a.m. Nov. 27, police were called to Pinellas Avenue and Wood Dove Avenue for an accident involving a car and bicyclist. The car struck 59-year-old Terry Bruillard and then fled the scene without stopping to give aid.
Bruillard was pronounced dead at the scene by Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue.

A witness to the crash followed the car after it struck the bicyclist and described it as a light-colored, newer-model four-door Hyundai sedan. Evidence at the scene indicated the car had damage to the right front headlight. The passenger side mirror was also broken off during the collision.
On Friday, police obtained an arrest warrant for Zachary L. Caride for leaving the scene of an accident involving a death. Caride was located around 5 p.m. in the New Port Richey area and taken into custody with the help of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. He was transported to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center.
