Body Of 40-Year-Old Boater Found In Whitcomb Bayou

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — The body discovered Saturday in Whitcomb Bayou has been identified as a 40-year-old boater.

At 3:29 p.m., Tarpon Springs police responded to a report of a body found floating in the water in Whitcomb Bayou.

The boater's family has been notified. Police aren't releasing his name due to Marsy's Law, which prohibits law enforcement from releasing the names of victims without the family's consent.

No foul play is suspected but the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
