Cody’s Original Roadhouse To Double Florida Restaurants
The Tampa-based chain is looking to double its statewide presence over the next several years.
TAMPA, Fla. – Cody’s Original Roadhouse – a full-service franchise restaurant featuring a casual dining environment reminiscent of the roadhouse restaurants popularized in rural settings during the 1940s and 1950s – has set its sights on further expansion throughout the Sunshine State.
With 15 locations already open and operating throughout west-central and north Florida, nearly one-third of which have opened in the past three years alone, the Tampa-based chain is looking to double its statewide presence over the next several years. Targeted markets include: Tampa Bay, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville and various parts of Southwest Florida.
The Florida growth plans are also part of a larger expansion initiative that calls for opening as many as 50 new stores throughout various parts of the southeastern United States over the next five years.

The Cody’s experience is intended to be fun and unpretentious, taking customers back to an era that was simpler and more relaxed.
Founded in 1994 in Tarpon Springs, Cody’s is a throwback to the comfortable family eateries that grew by the side of the road before the great highway expansion of the late 1950s. The restaurant prides itself on serving “just plain good food” such as barbecued ribs, fresh hand-cut steaks, chicken, fresh fish, burgers, fajitas, bottomless salad bowls and more.
