CVS Opens 3 Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Sites

TAMPA BAY, FL — CVS Health has opened coronavirus drive-thru testing sites at CVS Pharmacy locations in Lutz, Largo and Tarpon Springs.

The pharmacy opened the drive-thru testing sites on Friday at:

• 1000 E. Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs
• 2322 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Lutz
• 8905 Bryan Dairy Road, Largo

CVS said the new sites will use self-swab tests and is available to those who meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria for testing. Patients must register in advance at CVS.com

Those with appointments must stay in their cars. They'll be directed to the pharmacy drive-thru window where they will be provided with a test kit and instructions. A pharmacy team member will observe the self-swab process.

The tests will be sent to a third-party laboratory to be processed, and results will be available in about three days, according to a press release from CVS.
