Drunk ER Patient Arrested For 'Causing A Scene,' Cops Say

Police say an intoxicated Gainesville man was cursing and yelling at Florida Hospital where he was arrested.

Tarpon Springs Police arrested a 21-year-old man just after midnight on Aug. 4 after hospital workers say he was "causing a scene."

Sean Wiseley, 21, of Gainesville, underwent treatment in the emergency room at Florida Hospital North Pinellas before he decided to cause a ruckus, an arrest report said.

Police say after Wiseley, who was intoxicated, signed his discharge paperwork, he began "screaming, yelling and cursing" inside the hospital.

Despite hospital workers' attempt to calm him down, Wiseley would not stop yelling.

When police arrived to the hospital, Wiseley was given the option to have a family member come and pick him up. Officers say he "refused and continued to use profanity and cause a scene."

Wiseley was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly intoxication for the incident, but when officers tried to take him into custody, he "began to tense his arms and pull away" from the arresting officer.

Another misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence was added to Wiseley's arrest report.

He was released after time served.
