Family Brings Big City Flavor To Tarpon Springs

Rick's New York Style Restaurant's big city experience makes the shop a culinary destination.

Owned and operated by the Galante family, Rick's Restaurant offers customers everything from pizza and pasta to subs, salads and seafood.

The New York style deli and restaurant boasts flavors hailing from Little Italy in New York City as the Galante clan migrated to Mott St. before heading south. The shop is located across Klosterman Rd. from the St. Petersburg College campus in Tarpon Springs.

Rick's deliciously interesting menu is sure to satisfy with Italian creations. The potato croquettes are a unique starter which consists of potato, mozerella and parmesan fried and served with marinara sauce. Pizza baked pasta is another popular item made up of spaghetti, pepperoni, sausage and marinara with mozzarella on top.

Of course the huge slices of New York style pizza are also a hit, along with the Greek salad, jumbo chicken wings and shrimp scampi.

Lunch specials run on Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

To seal the deal with sugar, Rick's menu is packed with sweet treats like tiramisu, cannoli and New York cheesecake.

The Galante family say they learned from their talented ancestors the three most important elements of good food: "the best ingredients, time and most important, love."
