A 46-year-old father showing his 15-year-old daughter how to properly park a pickup truck died when he was accidentally struck.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — A 46-year-old father showing his 15-year-old daughter how to properly park a pickup truck died when he was accidentally struck by the vehicle.
On Tuesday at 5:26 p.m., Tarpon Springs Police were called to a picnic shelter at Anderson Park, 39699 U.S. 19, for a single-vehicle crash.
When they arrived, they found the 15-year-old girl tending to her father. According to police, the father was standing in front of the 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck, directing his daughter as she pulled into a parking space. The daughter was about to back up, but the vehicle was still in drive. She unintentionally hit the accelerator, causing the truck to go over a parking curb and strike her father.
