Peace4Communities Summit

Peace4Communities, a grassroots organization based in Tarpon Springs, FL, has been busy with requests from across the nation to share how their effort to create the first trauma-informed city in the United States began. Several communities have already brought the Peace4Tarpon model into their own cities, counties or municipalities. In 2018, Peace4Tarpon will host the first-ever gathering of interested parties to join together and explore the history and path that they’ve been traveling.

Residents, organizations, and business leaders from across the nation are invited to join Peace4Tarpon at St. Petersburg College - Tarpon Campus on January 13^th, 2018 from 8:30 – 3:00 p.m. Learn how Peace4Tarpon and other Peace4 communities began and where they are on the journey to create trauma-responsive, trauma-informed and ultimately, more peaceful communities.

In addition to the "Peace4" Community leaders - special guests include River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding, Dr. Andrea Blanch, and Zackary Gibson from the Governor's office. The event will be held in the St. Petersburg College Fine Arts Auditorium (FA 132) adjacent to the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art.
