Pinellas County Sets Up Drop-Off Sites For Coronavirus Supplies
The county is collecting personal protective equipment and disinfectants at three drop-off locations through Saturday.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Eckerd College, Schiller University, Fiberglass Coatings Inc., and dozens of individuals have stepped up to donate tens of thousands of medical and personal protective items this week in Pinellas County. However, more are needed to protect healthcare workers.
The county is collecting personal protective equipment and disinfectants at three drop-off locations through Saturday and two locations starting next week. Items must be unopened and unused. These supplies will be delivered to local hospitals, long-term care facilities and first responders.
Staff and volunteers will retrieve items from vehicles to maximize social distancing.

Donations can be dropped off Friday until 7 p.m. or on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the following locations:
- St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 715 E Orange St., Tarpon Springs
- Walsingham Park, 12615 102nd Ave., Seminole
- Tropicana Field, Lot 4, 198 17th St. S., St. Petersburg
The Tropicana Field and Walsingham Park sites will continue operating next week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, through Saturday, April 4.

Personal protection equipment items requested include:
- Surgical face masks (note: homemade face masks cannot be accepted at this time)
- P100 masks
- N95 masks
- Face shields
- Nitrile exam gloves, powder free
- 5- and 7-mil nitrile gloves
- Eye protection - safety glasses
- Surgical tear-away gowns
- Safety eye goggles
Disinfectants requested:
- Hand sanitizer (any size) 60 percent alcohol
- 91 percent isopropyl alcohol
- Clorox wipes
- Lysol disinfectant spray
- Sani-Cloth wipes
- 3 percent hydrogen peroxide
Medical devices requested (new and unused only):
- Ventilators - Invasive positive pressure ventilators that can be used for intubated patients
- CPAP - Hospital, disposable and home sleep apnea
- BiPAP/BiLevel - Hospital, disposable and home sleep apnea
- High-flow nasal cannula set-ups

The Tropicana Field and Walsingham Park sites will accept nonperishable food donations starting next week. Nonperishable food can also be donated to one of the following food banks:
- Tarpon Springs Shepherd Center, 304 S. Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- RCS Pinellas, 700 Druid Road, Clearwater, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- St. Pete Free Clinic, 863 3rd Ave. N., St. Petersburg, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
