Shots Fired At Tarpon Springs Party; 1 Man Injured

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — One person was shot during gunfire at a party in Tarpon Springs in the early-morning hours of New Year's Eve.

Tarpon Springs Police officers responded to the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 12:50 a.m. after receiving a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers saw several people running from the scene and found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to the hospital. His injury is not life-threatening.

Police discovered that the people they saw upon arriving were fleeing a party where shots were fired.

No additional gunshot injuries have been reported.
