Tarpon Spring Police Investigate Shooting Of 16-Year-Old

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs Police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old boy Sunday night.

Tarpon Springs officers responded to the area of East Oakwood Avenue and South Disston Avenue around 9:30 p.m. and found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he is expected to recover.

Police do not believe the shooting was random. They are working with the teen to identify the shooter.
