Tarpon Springs 'Eyesore' Becomes 'Sight For Sore Eyes'
Sunrise Place Apartments is officially in business after years of obstacles.
After being approved in 2008, the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County ran into a number of road blocks before being able to construct what is now Sunrise Place Apartments in Tarpon Springs.
With help from the Florida Chapter of the Volunteers of America and the City of Tarpon Springs, the previously rundown complex is freshly modern.
Chairman of the HFA, Rodney Fischer said the organization have been building affordable housing facilities like Sunrise Place for more than 30 years.Â
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the $3.3 million complex consist of 36 units.
Sunrise Place Apartments is located at 802 Mango Street.
