Tarpon Springs Man Accused Of 2 Counts Of Child Molestation

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Tarpon Springs man after he was accused of molesting two girls.

Detectives arrested 51-year-old Pedro Caamal on two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation for incidents involving two young girls between Dec. 17, 2019, and Nov. 17.

Caamal was arrested Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at his home at 521 Berkley Ave.

According to detectives, the investigation began on Dec. 16 after a child disclosed she was the victim of sexual abuse. During the investigation, detectives learned two girls had been touched inappropriately on their buttocks and breasts. One girl is under the age of 12 and the second is between 12 and 16 years old.

Detectives Caamal admitted to inappropriate touches. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident where bond was set at $20,000.
