TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs Police are investigating the discovery of a body in a wooded area adjacent to a parking lot at the North Pinellas Avenue bridge over the Anclote River.

Police were called at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday by a person who was fishing in the area.

At this time, police do not suspect foul play. The remains have been transported to the Pinellas/Pasco Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death and identity.
