Tarpon Springs Police Seek Driver That Killed Bicyclist

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs Police are seeking a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a bicyclist on Pinellas Avenue Friday morning.

Around 5 a.m., police were called to Pinellas Avenue and Wood Dove Avenue for an accident involving a car and bicyclist. The car struck 59-year-old Terry Bruillard and then fled the scene without stopping to give aid.

Bruillard was pronounced dead at the scene by Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue.

A witness to the crash followed the car after it struck the bicyclist and described it as a light-colored, newer-model four-door Hyundai sedan. Evidence at the scene indicates the car has damage to the right front headlight. The passenger side mirror was also broken off of the car during the collision.
