UPDATE: Small Business Saturday Deals in Tarpon Springs

We found some more sales in light of the coming shopping holiday.

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses their community thrives on.

This year, Tarpon Springs Patch is putting together a list of local Small Business Saturday deals. If you are a small business owner, leave your deal in the comments section below, and it will be added to the list. 

So far, these are the deals that we've tracked down:

  • Artistic Studio 30- The studio is giving 20 percent off various art throughout the gallery. Also, if you buy a soy candle, receive a bag of hand-roasted coffee beans for free.
  • Back in the Day Books- Offering its biggest sale to date, Back in the Day Books will host a 30 percent discount sale. It applies to a marked off quarter of the shop. Follow along on Facebookto find out which quarter of the store will be on sale on Small Business Saturday.
  • Boot Hide Out- Receive 10 percent the entire store on Small Business Saturday.
  • Eco-Bean Organic Coffee House- Stop in for $1 off any whole food juice
  • Mad Hatter General Store- Kickstart your Christmas shopping with a buy one, get one half off sale. The half off item must be of equal or lesser value and the promotion applies to new merchandise only (not antiques or vintage). The offer is valid on Small Business Saturday only.
  • Rea Sunshine- The store will be offering a 20 percent off sale. The sale applies to all merchandise at Rea Sunshine.
  • Wine at the Docks- Enjoy a free wine tasting all day at Wine at the Docks and take advantage of 10 percent off all merchandise in the shop. The store is also offering $2 off each bottle of wine.

American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is great to support local small businesses that rely on neighbors like us in order to thrive.

Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores to help boost the economy and their communities.
