Police: Woman Attacked Acquaintance in Face with Glass Shard

A Tarpon Springs resident has been accused of using a shard of glass to attack someone, police say. 

Police arrived at an apartment in Tarpon Springs August 29 and found someone with cuts on their face, according to an arrest report from Tarpon Springs Police. The person told police that Shawnee Jo Cowan ,of 199 Grand Blvd, Apt. 5, broke a window. 

Police say Cowan used a shard of window glass to attack the victim, who she’s known for more than a year.

Officers found Cowan, 39, in an apartment and arrested her. She was charged with aggravated domestic battery and remained in the Pinellas County Sept. 5 in lieu of $7,500 bail.
