12 Atlanta Families Gifted $1,000 And More Through Cricket

ATLANTA, GA – Cricket Wireless’ holiday giving campaign, "12 Days of Cricket" helped make Christmas a lot merrier this year for 144 families across the country, including 12 in Atlanta. It wouldn’t be Christmas without the gifts and that’s exactly what they received. Through Cricket Cares, its corporate giving program, families were surprised with food, presents and more at a special celebration, the company announced.

The Cricket Wireless Headquarters in Buckhead hosted 12 families, surprising them with $1,000 each, an LG smartphone with one-year of free Cricket Wireless service, and a free holiday meal to take home.

In each city, the winning families gathered at their local Cricket Wireless authorized retail location where they mingled with other winning families, Cricket associates and local influencers.

“Through 12 Days of Cricket, we joined forces with LG, our employees and customers to directly impact the lives of hundreds of people in the communities where we live and work,” said Tiffany Baehman, chief marketing officer and vice president of Cricket Wireless. “It has been humbling to celebrate just a few of the many hardworking families our employees come into contact with each and every day.”

All of the families were nominated. During the 12-day nomination period, nearly 1,000 people shared stories of dedication, kindness and perseverance on behalf of friends and family members. After careful review, 12 families in 12 cities were selected to win based on their inspirational stories.
